Karwa Chauth is a festival that provides an opportunity for all married women to get close to their in-laws. All married women observes fast that ensures the well-being, prosperity and longevity of their husbands. This Hindu festival has a cultural and social significance and many North Indians celebrate this festival with great enthusiasm.

Ladies should bring thali plate, including traditional items such as haldi, kum kum, chandan, flowers, fruits, prasad/sweets, supari/betel nut, Diya, Karwa (clay pot) filled with traditional item for your area (water, or wheat/milk), plus any small idol for Ganapati Lakshmi, and sieve/mesh to view moon.
