On Saturday, Vishnu Deepotsavam will be celebrated with Sahasra Deepa Ankara and Unjal Seva to Lord Venkateshwara. Devotees will be able to light lamps around the Lord, who will be seated on the Unjal (swing) along with Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi.

It is tradition in Tirumala to perform the Sahasra Deepa Ankara Seva to the Lord while he is seated on the Unjal. Annamacharya kritis and Vedic hymns are sung during the seva and occasionally dance performances are also held.

At the Venkateshwara Temple, similar seva will be offered amidst vedic chanting by priests. Lamps will be lit using sesame oil.
