Upakarma means ‘the beginning.’ After a holy dip in a sacred river or pond or Tritha, people change the sacred thread and wear a new one. Symbolically the ritual means a new beginning.

To register for thread changing ceremony – Upakarma

Batch 1: 6.30 a.m. – 7.45 a.m (Sri Vaishnava batch in Community Hall; Shaivites batch in Baba Temple)

Batch 2: 8 a.m. – 9.15 a.m. (Shaivites batch in Baba Temple)

Batch 3: 9.30 a.m. – 10.45 a.m. (as required)

Precautions and safety guidelines:

Temple allows only 16 members per each batch, and one needs to register in advance.

Temple will provide Yagnopaveetam.

Devotees are advised to bring their own Pancha Patra, Uddarina, and Arivaenam.

Everyone needs to wear a face mask, and it is mandatory.

We advise maintaining social distancing (at least 8 feet to each other)
