Datta Jayanthi will be observed with Abishekam and archana to Sri Dattareya Swami at Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temple.

Dattatreya is a form of Maha Vishnu. He is described as a form the three divinities, Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, born to Rishi Atri and Anusuya. He is depicted with a Trishul, the symbol of Shiva, Kamandalu and Japamala, sign of an ascetic, Brahma and the Conch and Chakra, the sign of Masa Vishnu. He stands beneath the sacred Audumbar tree, with the wish fulfilling kamadhenu and four dogs signifying the four  Vedas. He is also referred to as a Avaduta, one who is beyond the three qualities of Rajas, Tamas and Sattwa.
the text ‘Avadutha Gita’ is attributed to Lord Dattatreya. the text is based on Advaita Vedanta, one of the philosophies of Hinduism.
Worshipping Lord Dattatreya will lead us on to the path to realizing the Self.
~ When the pot is broken, the space within it is absorbed in the infinite space and becomes undifferentiated. When the mind becomes pure, I do not perceive any difference between the mind and the Supreme being.
